After Doug came home from the hospital, he found a scripture in Romans in an Upwards Basketball bible.
"And not only that, but we also rejoice in our afflictions, because we know that affliction produces endurance, endurance produces character, and proven character produces hope." Romans 5:3-4
So, when I ask Doug how he is doing, he sometimes replies, "I'm enduring!"
Doug is claiming this scripture and is believing in God's healing through hope and faith.
