Dining Room

Today was Doug's first day to eat his meals in the dining room with the other patients sitting in a wheel chair. He is still needing to strengthen his larynx muscles so he can swallow thinner liquids. They are watching him closely to be sure that he isn't coughing when he drinks. If he coughs, it's going down to his lungs and he could get pneumonia.
The physical therapists worked on his left arm and leg while laying in his bed. They showed me how to move his arm the proper way without pulling on his shoulder joint. He is able to push down with his left leg when they asked him to which was an improvement from yesterday.
Today I got phone calls from 3 of my brothers, Doug's mother, and a visit from the neighbor. It has been a blessing to have so much support. I continue to believe and pray for Doug to recover because he is God's child and in HIS hands.
