Reunion at Rehab Center

Yesterday, Doug and I attended a reunion reception for patients who had been at the Rehab Center in the Norman Regional Hospital. Doug has wanted to go back to the center to visit, but the time just never seemed right. He was able to reconnect with all of his therapists (occupational, physical, and speech) and a few of the hospital staff nurses. ALL of them were thrilled to see Doug walk in the door. It brought tears to my eyes. After we left, I told Doug that I think he won the popularity prize. We are truly grateful for God's mercy and thankful for our friends and family who stood by us in our time of need. We continue to live one day at a time.
