When Doug was taken by ambulance to the Emergency Room the night he had his stroke, I took off his watch before they transported him to the hospital, but left his wedding ring on. Then after they got him situated in a room in Intensive Care, they told me to take off the ring because they didn't want to be responsible for any valuables. Doug didn't wear his watch or ring during the 2 months he stayed in the hospital. After Doug got out of the hospital, his left hand and fingers were so swollen that he couldn't even wear them, so for a while he wore them on the right hand. Now Doug is able to wear both his watch and wedding ring on his left. Here is a picture I took at Kalen's football game tonight. By the way, it was a great game. We won 44 to 6. Kalen plays offensive left guard most of the time and some of the time defensive left tackle. We are proud of him and love to watch him play.

Doug make sure you keep up the occupational therapy since the swelling is going down you'll probably see progress and gain additional movement if you stay with it. I know it's a pain, but it's worth it. Hang in there!
