When Doug was in ICU, he had a really nice bed that had rotating air in the mattress to help his circulation. Then they moved him to the floor with stroke patients and got just a regular bed. It didn't look very comfortable. Well, last night, 4 people came in and switched him to another bed that is bigger like the one in ICU, plus it has a triangle above him he can pull on.
They did a third CAT scan yesterday. The swelling in his brain has gone down, and the blood clot has reduced in size a little bit. The doctor said he can be moved to the Rehabilitation Center as soon as today if there is a bed available. This is where Doug will start his "Road to Recovery"!
