Six (6) Years Ago

Yesterday was six years since Doug had his stroke.  All day I was reminded how far Doug has come and how thankful I am that he literally fought and struggled to get back on his feet.  Doug was so determined to not be in a wheel chair and thank the Lord, he's a walking miracle.

Life for him is not pleasant some days.  It takes extra effort to do everything and to get going.  He always has a good attitude and says "It's going to be a good day."  He continues to have pain on his left side that comes and goes.  Thank God for his positive thinking. 

The road has been bumpy at times and we've had some curves too.  One thing I know for sure is that we give God all the praise for every blessing He has given to us and we continue to live one day at a time.

Doug still can practice law at 104 East Eufaula Street in the building we bought in 1999.  He takes on criminal cases for Cleveland County as well as personal injury cases from auto accidents.  In January Jaley started working part-time for Doug.  It has been a joy having her there.
