Lacey was born on New Year's Eve in 1997, thirteen minutes before midnight. While I was in the hospital laboring, most of my family (Rovenstines) were in Minnesota for my nephew's (Jason) wedding.
It is rather difficult celebrating a Birthday and New Year's Eve on the same day. In the past, Lacey has gone to lock-ins at CrossPointe Kids Church or Star Skate with a few friends on New Year's Eve.
With Jared working at Sams Club, Jaley spending time with her boyfriend, and Kalen socializing with his friends, we were all able to attend Echo Church on New Years Day and then ate lunch at Mazzios.
Lacey had a sleepover birthday party on the following Friday, January 6th with four friends. Lara, Jennifer, Daisy and Sophia were all here to help her celebrate her 14th birthday. She got an X-Box game (Dance Central 3) and a new iPhone. Someday she will look back and see just how generous her father was.
Lacey is not my little baby girl anymore. She's all grown up.
