A few weeks ago, I put Doug's name in for a drawing for Free Chicken from Cane's. They make real good chicken fingers that everyone seems to love. Doug got a call last week from the owner that said his name was drawn, but to win it all depended on the O.U. football game against Baylor last Saturday.
If O.U. scored a touchdown on their first possession of the third quarter, Doug would win free chicken for a year. If O.U. scored a field goal in the third quarter, Doug would win a tail gate party.
Well, O.U. did get a touchdown on their first possession, so Doug was a winner. Our next door neighbor boy was on his way to Tulsa to a soccer game, and he said they announced Doug's name on the radio 3 times. So, two days ago we went to Cane's to pick up a gift card for $365.00 to their restaurant which is the equivalent to buying one chicken tender everyday of the year.
