Second Drive - Solo

Yesterday Doug drove his truck for the second time, with only him and Lacey. We met at the Norman High School for a potluck dinner. It was a dinner for all of the volleyball players and their families. One of the difficulties about Doug driving alone is being able to shut the door with his left hand. It is definitely something we need to work on. Other things he still needs help with is dressing, getting up from the couch and getting out of the waterbed. Compared to the day he came home from the hospital on May 29th, he has come a long ways. I am pleased that Doug has been walking without a cane for about 3 weeks. God continues to heal one day at a time.
